Charity of The Month: Refuweegee

We’re all fae somewhere..

The responsibility of choosing a charity of the month for August was down to our design intern, Douglas. He choose Refuweegee, a community led project set up to ensure that all refugees arriving in Glasgow are welcomed to the city in true Glaswegian style.

Refuweegee provide a community-built welcome pack for refugees when they arrive to the city. The pack provides essential items such as anything from blankets and toiletries to children toys and paper for writing letters! As well as essentials, the pack also includes ‘Letters from the locals’ to make sure that refugees are assured of their acceptance in to Glasgow and more importantly, their safety in the city.
